We are delighted to welcome Dr. ZENG Zhifeng to our lab!
Zhifeng obtained his Ph.D. from Huazhong Agricultural University in early 2025, under the mentorship of Professor HAN Wenyuan. He has demonstrated exceptional scientific talent, having already published a groundbreaking Science paper as the first author, where he reported the discovery of the prokaryotic immune system Kongming (doi/10.1126/science.ads6055). Impressively, three years ago, he also published a first-author paper in Cell Host & Microbe, unveiling the membrane-associated Ago system (www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1931312822002219).
It is an honor for our lab, in just two years since its establishment, to recruit such a talented postdoctoral researcher. We look forward to Zhifeng enjoying his research at NUS, thriving in our lab environment, and bringing new ideas and systems that will further enrich our work. Welcome aboard!
